Gaining Control Of Chaos: Learn How a Timetable/Schedule Can Transform Your Productivity

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Today, I have a new tip for you. But before I begin, let me tell you a joke and you can guess the topic.

There once was a naughty boy called Jack. As his exams were close, his mother asked him to make timetable of which subjects to study on which days.

Mother: Jack, please make the timetable now.

Jack: Can I make it later mum?

Mother: No. Make it now.

Jack: Ok.

But Jack was too lazy. He found a shortcut. He wrote the word time on the table which he was sitting next to instead.

Jack: I have finished making it mother.

Mother: Ok, let me see your work.

His mother went to the table and saw what Jack had done.

Mother: What is this?

Jack: This is the timetable.

Mother: Oh, Jack!

If you guessed the topic "Timetables or Schedules", you are correct.

Now, let me share my schedule for tomorrow and see if you can create your schedule as you read.

I want to wake up tomorrow at 7:30a.m. I am going to get ready and eat my breakfast at 8:00a.m. After I do math till 10:00a.m, I am going to play for an hour. Then, get ready to go outside. Next, I will take a bath. After bathing, I'll be doing my prayers, eating my lunch and taking a nap. At 4:30p.m, I will freshen up and have a snack. And then I would play games with my family. Next, I’ll do my prayers and have my dinner. At last, I would brush my teeth and go to sleep.

As we both know, not everyone can keep up with their schedule/timetable on their first try. So don't worry if you don't get it right on your first or second try. You know yourself best. Try and imagine how things will turn out as you read my visualization.

I think that I will wake up at 7:45a.m. Then, eat my breakfast at 8:15a.m. So, I would solve math only for 1 hour 30 min. Instead of 1 hour 45 min. As said before I would play for an hour, get ready, go out, bathe, do my prayers, eat my lunch and take a nap. I would wake up 15 min later than 4:30p.m and have a snack. After having a snack, I'll probably do some chores. Then, play games. After that, I would do my prayers, eat my dinner, brush my teeth and go to sleep.

This is my schedule, which is in a way timetable. Well, what is a timetable anyway? It is a chart which shows what to do and when to do it. Timetables are important as they help keep track of what we need to do and how much time we should take for doing each task. At first, I thought timetables were no use and parts of me still think they aren’t. But, the larger part of me knows that they are. The day I lost the pink egg was the day I started thinking they could be important. Well, I technically needed a map, not a timetable. In my opinion, a map and a timetable are kind of similar. A map is used to keep track of where the treasure is hidden and a timetable is used to keep track of what to do. Even if we forget where the treasure is hidden or what we have to do we can always refer to it. About the pink egg, that is the story for my next blog. See you another time, with a new story, a new adventure, a new tip and a new moral.
