An Adventure to Storyland
Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing well. Today, I’m going to tell you two amazing stories. But before you buckle your seatbelts let me ask you a riddle.
I transport you to
distant lands,
With words and
pages in my hands.
Adventure, drama,
joy, and strife,
Within my realm,
emotions come to life.
Now can you guess what
am I?
If you guessed the
answer was a story then you are correct.
Now, let me begin
with the stories.
A Visit to the
Dragon’s Layer
Once upon a time there was a naughty girl named Nona in Castletopia. She was the princess and her parents, the king and queen. One day, while her parents were sleeping, troublesome little Nona went to explore the woods. She saw signs showing ‘Danger!’ and ‘Don’t go here’. Even then, she went there. She saw a house and went inside. A mean dragon caught her sneaking in his house but she was not scared. The dragon made her cook food everyday and do other household chores such as sweeping and mopping.
Every day, Nona gave the mean dragon a gift that made was by her. Why? Because she believed that kindness could change anyone for the better. And her theory worked. The dragon became happy and let her go. He was so generous that he gave her a lift home. There was a huge party where Nona lived to celebrate her return. The dragon came too. Everyone was surprised to see the dragon acting so kind. He decided that the he no longer wanted to live alone and abandoned. He moved into the city and they all lived happily ever after.
The Woodpecker
One upon a time there was a forest called Beshsung. In that forest there lived a wise owl, a woodpecker, a big bear, 2 bluebirds, an unfriendly raccoon, a sly fox, a little bunny, a small squirrel and a reindeer.
All the animals except the owl used to make fun of the woodpecker as the woodpecker couldn’t peck wood. They used to sing “Oh, look at this woodpecker. It can’t peck any wood. It’s so different, it’s so silly.” But the owl always used to say that’s not a good habit to tease people. All the animals used to laugh at the woodpecker for hours. The owl no matter what used to help the woodpecker.
One day, when the animals were eating their lunch, blue smoke came and they all got shushed, except for the owl. Later onwards when the bear tried to talk all he could say was “blink, blink”, when the bluebirds tried to talk all they could say was “clink, clink”. All the raccoon could say was “think, think”. The fox could only say “wink, wink”. The bunny could only say “see, see”. The squirrel could only say “me, me”. And all the reindeer could say was “bee, bee”. It went like that for a few days.
The owl said that he had travelled across the evergreen forest, over the Himalayas and had reached the wonderful world of fairies. Then he said that he told the fairies what had happened and the fairies had put a spell on the animals to teach them a lesson. Later the fairies reversed the spell and everyone could talk again. All the animals apologized to the woodpecker. The woodpecker accepted their apology and everyone lived happily ever after.
Moral - We should not tease or make fun of the differently–abled people.
Well, that's all for today. See you
another time with a new story, new adventure, new tip and a new moral.
