Cracking The Code: An Easter Adventure
Hello everyone! Welcome to my second blog post. I hope you all are doing well. Before I begin, let me ask you a riddle and see if you can guess the answer.
I am colorful and bright,
Hidden in plain sight.
Children search for me with glee,
And crack me open eagerly.
Now can you guess,
Who am I?
The answer is an easter egg. And this is the topic for today's blog. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?
This is how it all began. One fine day, my friends, my little sister and I were at daycare. We were playing on the slide, the swing and in the ball pit. But after a while we started feeling a little bored. So my friend Hanvita thought of a really good game. An easter egg hunt! There were six eggs for each of us to hide, Hanvita went first. My sister, Sanaa went second and then it was my turn. Hanvita and Sanaa made a map. So even if they forgot where they had hidden the eggs, they could refer to the map. But I refused to make it as I could not draw it properly. We found all six eggs that Hanvita and Sanaa had hidden. Yet only 5 eggs of what I had hidden. I was sure I had hidden six eggs. Or should I say 'we' had hidden six eggs.
I'm sure you're thinking what did I mean by 'we'. When there were only three of us hiding and each were taking turns. Turns out there were four of us hiding the eggs. The fourth was a boy called Rohit, who was also coming to the daycare. Even though none of us wanted him hiding the eggs, no one stopped him either. We kept searching. Yet couldn't find it. As we had no other option we told the teacher there. She said that we had till the end of the day to find it. It was already noon. So, our teacher, who's name is Deepa ma'am suggested we eat our lunch first. We ate our lunch. Rohit on the other hand had already finished his lunch and was happily playing.
We very worried that the pink easter egg would be lost forever. Rohit looked like he didn't care much about the egg. We suspected he must have the egg or at least hidden it somewhere and forgotten about it as he had the green egg in his pocket and even I didn't know it was hidden there. After we ate our lunch Deepa ma'am told everyone that if we didn't find the pink egg she wouldn't send us home. After hearing this Rohit got a bit frightened and started finding it with us. The auntie over there helped us too. At last, the auntie found it in a high shelf, in a tray filled with toys. We suspected correct. Rohit did hide the egg. We all were relieved. We gave the good news to Deepa ma'am and all of us went home happily. Except for Rohit. He got a punishment.
After all this, I have learned to always make a map while playing easter egg hunt or treasure hunt. But what can you learn from it? You can learn to be confident and honest while sharing your views. Being confident and honest no matter what is important. Even if it is with your family members. But make sure you're polite while doing so. Well that's all from my end. See you in my next blog with a new story, a new adventure, a new tip and a new moral.
